As a semi-retired lawyer and with great expectation several years ago, I took up the brush and pallet. I studied in various college classes but remained frustrated. Finally, I bought a used-painting book for one dollar. The book was about painting and designing people in watercolor by Alex Powers. My artistic identity sharpened: I love line with contrast–interpreting light, color and shadows as they interact in two and three dimensions within my art. So enjoy my paintings as I interpret the beauty of the world and people before me.
